This is a handy dandy trick that my Momma taught me as a child, and now I'm passing it onto you! I was reminded of this, when my neighbor saw it this weekend, and expressed that it was the "coolest thing ever", so I hope that you enjoy it too!
All you'll need is:
A jar and a spoon from your utensil drawer
Holding your jar with one hand, place the spoon under the the lid. You'll want to place your spoon in the deepest ridge, then simply pull the spoons body closer to the jar to pop the top.

Now that took all of 3 seconds.
