From the Inside Out by S.L. Scott, Part 1 & 2 - Cover Reveal

 From the Inside Out

Part 1: Scorned -- Aug 18
Part 2: Jealousy – Sept 8

We shared a love that regulated every heartbeat and every breath we took. It was all encompassing. I thought our love could withstand time and anything thrown our way. I was wrong. So wrong. I used to be happy. I used to be Juliette Weston when Dylan Somers filled my life with promises of love and a happy ever after. But when he took my heart and broke it into a million pieces, I became someone else entirely. In one afternoon, I lost my soul mate. I lost everything I knew myself to be. Three years later, the man who destroyed me is back. To assuage his guilt? To finish the job? It doesn’t matter... I won’t let him this time. I’m stronger. I’ve moved on. He won’t affect me. This is a story of love and betrayal. Pain and loss. Happiness and fate. It’s about finding your true destiny. This is our story. And it’s not for the faint of heart.
S.L. Scott is a former high-tech account manager with a journalism degree pursuing her passion for telling stories. She spends her days escaping into her characters and letting them lead her on their adventures. Live music shows, harvesting jalapenos and eating homemade guacamole are her obsessions she calls hobbies. Scott lives in the beautiful Texas hill country of Austin with her husband, two young sons, two Papillons and a bowl full of Sea Monkeys.

Her novels include Naturally, Charlie, Good Vibrations, and A Prior Engagement.

Rogue by Katy Evans - Release Day Blitz

“Bastard,” I mumble. “You ruined my whole week, you fucking bastard. I bet you’re

fucking some triple-D blonde right now and her triplets all at the same time, aren’t you? You’re

not even a two-timer, you’re like a three-timer, liar, feeding me an I’ll-take-you-to-the-movies

fucking line. I swear I was fine until you came back like you “got” me, like you “got” me even if

I looked like a hungover mess. God, I can’t believe myself!”

I kick the tub as if it’s the tub’s fault, then yell, “OUCH!”

Scowling, I walk into the bedroom, grab my sleep clothes, pad outside to my living room/

kitchen combo to grab some ice cream, slide on my Princess Bride DVD and turn on the TV.

A couple of pounds of fat, here we go. I plop down and a vibration buzzes across the couch. I

scowl and feel around for my phone. I find it way in between the two couch cushions, pull it out,

and set it aside for a scoop of ice cream. I almost choke on it when I see a text I hadn’t noticed

Be home tonight.

What? My stomach vaults. I read who the text is from and suddenly I want to throw my

phone into a WALL. Greyson. I scowl at it and throw it down to the couch and start pacing. I’m

not going to answer him. Why would I? He seemed in no hurry to talk to me before, and now he

orders me? Like an all mighty king? No thanks. I’ll pass on our second date, thank you.

But I check and notice the text was sent hours ago. I tell myself I am not going to

respond, I will wait a gazillion days like he did. I set the phone aside and put a big spoonful of

ice cream in my mouth, letting it melt on my tongue, but my stomach is squirming and now I

can’t watch the TV, I can only stare at my phone and suck on the spoon. Then I bury the spoon

in the tub and grab my phone, squeeze my eyes shut and type.

I’m home but that doesn’t mean I’m staying home. Just depends . . .

On? comes the reply, and quickly.

Whoa, was he waiting, with phone in hand, to answer? It seems like he was.

I wait one full minute. Trembling. Type: On who’s visiting

I don’t mean that as an invite. I mean it as in: I’d hightail it out of here if he set foot in

my building. But his answer is lightning fast and my heart starts pounding as it keeps staring

back at me.

Me.

Crap! I have to leave. I have to leave; I can’t see him! I can’t be this easy! A line must

be drawn. He’s already shown what our night together meant to him, and I won’t let myself be

devalued by him or any other moron again.

I should leave before he arrives, or when he does, yell through the door, without opening

it even an inch, and tell him that I’m NOT INTERESTED! You stood me up, you didn’t get in

touch soon enough, I am not your booty call, have a good life!

Yeah. That sounds right.

Determined, I head over to close the living room blinds. When I glance out the window

and reach for the string I see a dark sports car pull over and a man in black step out of the

driver’s seat. He looks up toward my window and all my systems stop when our eyes lock, hold,

recognize. My insides go into chaos mode. A strange excitement makes my knees knock.

Fuck me, it’s really him.

What is he doing here? What does he want?

He heads into the building and I turn to face my closed door, panicking because I haven’t

changed, I didn’t change. I’m in my pj’s, if hardly that.

Noticing the pint of ice cream still grasped in my hand, I run to shove it back into the

freezer, spoon and all. I start pacing around in circles, trying to come up with a new plan, but

unable to think for shit. I consider telling my building guard not to let him in, but I hear the

ring of the elevator and realize the guard must have recognized the motherfucker from when he

brought me home last week.

Deciding not to delay the inevitable, I swing the door open as he steps out of the elevator.

He looks straight at me and his gaze drills into me, making a hole straight in my thoughts. One of

my neighbors and her husband pass along the hall toward their door.

“Well, hello there, Melanie. A little chilly out.” She gestures to the white silk shorts and

near-transparent camisole I’m wearing in complete disapproval and continues on.

Greyson follows behind her and fills up the space one foot away from my threshold with

muscle and beauty and testosterone and, I swear, god, I swear, he’s as lethal as a nuclear bomb.

My knees, oh, my knees. My heart. My eyes. My body feels both light as a feather and heavy

as a tank. How can this be? He’s so stunning I can’t even move. Or blink, or hardly stand; I’m

leaning on the door frame.

I’m fully sober. Something I might regret. He’s no longer blurred by the rain, by vodka,

or by my stupid illusions of prince charming.

The man standing at my door is very real, very big, very tan, and his smile is very, very

charming. There is no word for the way he stands there, his eyes dark and glimmering, his

cheekbones hard and his jaw smoothly shaven, his mouth so beautiful, tipped up mischievously

at the corners. His suit is perfect, playboy perfect, and his tousled hair run with wayward streaks

of copper that makes me want to rake my fingers straight through. And he’s here, looking at me

as if waiting for me to let him in. A memory of the morning he brought me home flashes through

me. Where I felt sore because of the way he’d loved me all night. The little mark behind my ear

that I found the next morning.

Hanging on to my every instinct of self-preservation, I hold the door only halfway open

when he catches it in one big powerful hand.

“Invite me in,” he says softly, holding the door in his firm grip.

“My car doesn’t need a tune-up, it’s fine, but thanks for checking in on it,” I say, pushing

it closed with more effort.

He shoves the door open and strides inside, and I’m frustrated over my inability to keep

him out. Now he’s inside and he shuts the door like he owns my place, then he studies it with a

sweep of narrowed eyes. “This building has a laundry chute?”

“That’s your line?”

He crosses the room and pulls the rest of the blinds shut, then he performs an insanely

quick check of my place with a sweep of his gaze that makes my insides turn over.

It’s almost like he’s making sure there is no other man here.

He can’t possibly be jealous, can he?

And now . . . now that he seems assured no one is here but me, he starts walking over to

me and looking at my mouth, and I’m walking away because every instinct of self-preservation

in me tells me to walk away.

“You’re here. Why are you here all of a sudden? Some other date canceled on you last

minute?” I demand.

“I have a date I’d like to schedule with you.” His eyebrows pull low over those brilliant

hawklike eyes. “You’re not nearly as excited to see me as I’d hoped.”

“Maybe I thought you were a drunken hallucination. Maybe I hoped you were.”

I hit the back of my kitchen island and he locks me in with his arms, his eyes almost

desperate and hungry. Then he cups my face and sets his mouth to mine, like he thinks—

mistakenly—I belong to him.

“I’m not,” he says, softly, then he kisses me again, so deeply I lose my train of thought

until he speaks against my mouth again. “A hallucination. And if you need me to, I’ll spend all

night reminding you of what it feels like to have my tongue and my cock buried deep in you and

how much you liked it.”

He leans over as if to kiss me again. My voice trembles as I turn my head. “Don’t,

Greyson.”

“I don’t like that word, ‘don’t,’” he rasps against my cheek. “But I do like you saying

Greyson.”

He tips my head around with the tip of one finger and stares at me like he loves the look

of me. I lift one of his arms and he lets me, and I start easing away again, free of him, but not

free of his stare. The first night he just kept staring at my eyes like he couldn’t tear his gaze

free, but now, now he’s seeing all of me. I’m wearing shorts and a camisole yet my body starts

heating as his eyes rake me up and down.

“I gave you a chance and you blew it,” I breathe.

“I want another one.”

Hourglass by K.S. Smith & Megan Smith - Blog Tour & Giveaway!

 Displaying hourglass cover.jpg

Displaying HG SYNOPSIS.jpg
Best friends since birth, Brooke Reid and Savannah Prescott, spend their days working together at top fashion magazine Hourglass, while enjoying all that the Denver nightlife has to offer – but sharing a man – no way.

One of Denver’s most eligible bachelors, Luke Wellington, can have any woman he wants and he knows it. Putting his player skills to the test, he destroys a friendship and makes two women fall in love with him as he sits back and enjoys the best of both worlds.

Brooke Reid is a woman looking for her happily ever after, and the day she literally ran in to him, she thought she’d found it. Charming, charismatic, a true gentleman – what more could she ask for? Things are going perfectly until her best friend struts in the elevator and claimed his lips right in front of her.

Savannah Prescott is interested in one thing, having a good time with every single man Denver has to offer. Being tied down is too much of a bore for her free spirited ways. Or so she thinks, but when her best friend starts dating her Friday night fling, she realizes she may be ready to turn in her game card and settle down into a real relationship.

When both girls come to the realization that they are after the same man, it means all-out war. Best friends until the end, or at least until him.

Finally! I thought to myself, taking Luke’s face between the palms of my hands and laying

an earth shattering kiss on him right in the elevator for my best friend to see. “I’ve been

dying to introduce you to my...” Releasing Luke’s face I looked to my left and then to my

right. “Where in the hell did she go?”

Glancing back at Luke’s panic-stricken face, I tried to figure out why Brooke had bolted.

What in the hell is wrong with that woman? Wrapping my arms around Luke’s neck, I

kissed his cheek. “You look like you’ve just seen a ghost. What’s wrong?” As he was shaking

his head no, I pulled my arms from around his neck and placed them at my side.

“Nothing, today is just really busy. Do you know by chance where her office is?”

Confused, I scrunched my eyes together. “Who, Brooke?” Luke nodded. “Well of course I

do, Luke, that’s my best friend, the one I’ve been dying to introduce you to.”

His face turned white as a sheet. “Shit” he mumbled under his breath.

I stepped out of the elevator on the ninth floor and walked with Luke toward our parking

spaces, he was clearly shaken as beads of sweat were now lining his hairline. “Luke, you’re

sweating and I’m not even wearing a revealing top, are you sure you’re okay?” He nodded

again. What is wrong with everyone today? I’m dealing with Brooke’s disappearing act, and

Luke seems to have swallowed his tongue. “You better be because I’m not in the mood for

another rain check tonight.”

Winking at him, I hopped into my car and then took off for my photo shoot. I picked up my

phone to dial Brooke as I zoomed through traffic. Her cell went straight to voice mail, so I

called the office and got the same thing, voice mail. Trying her cell one more time only to

be dumped into her voice mail box for the third time, I conceded. “Brooke, what happened

to you in the elevator? I wanted to introduce you to Luke. Isn’t he gorgeous? I’ll be out at

a shoot all day, so we’ll have to catch up later. In the meantime, Google Lucas Wellington,

his pictures are to die for, but nothing compares to the body under those clothes, and most

importantly, his huge you know what! Let’s do a quick dinner tonight, my place. I’ll pick

up takeout on the way home, and we’ll have Carl sneak us into your new condo for a tour.

We’ll have to wrap up early though; I’m planning on having Luke as my dessert. Love you.”

After I hung up, I cranked my music up as loud as it would go and sang along with Katy

Perry and Juicy J, making up my own lyrics to their chart topper, Dark Horse. “Her love is

like a drug, Luke was tryna hit it and quit it. But Savannah is so dope Luke messed around

and got addicted”

Love With Every Beat by K.L. Shandwick - Blog Tour & Review

Displaying lwebtour.jpg

Displaying lovewitheverybeat.jpg

ALFIE BLACK has everything he needs to pass scrutiny as a rock star. He’s a drop dead gorgeous specimen of a man. Rough around the edges and still flawless to look at. Alfie is a jaw dropping, panty melting, tattooed bad boy. Add tall and athletically toned with a fabulous face, eyes and smile, and it’s easy to see he’d be going places. Ticking most of the boxes required as the lead singer in a band, the last part of the equation many not have mattered much. However, Alfie is an incredibly talented singer and musician. Women want Alfie. Men want to be Alfie. So, gifted Alfie is given opportunities to progress both as an artiste, with his band Crakt Soundzz, but also to share his passion and pass his knowledge on to others at music college. Alfie’s journey in life should be going in one direction, but his sole focus is on taking care of his responsibilities. Circumstances in the background dictate what he needs. And what he is willing to accept. This is something he isn’t willing to compromise on. Focused and determined, the last thing Alfie needs is a distraction. What Alfie wants and what is happening in his life are poles apart, but he is determined to keep going no matter what. For now, he thinks it’s enough. That is, until he meets Lily, the English girl who arrives at college to study music in Miami. Lily is Alfie’s equal in many ways, musically gifted, stunning and in a different league to any girl Alfie has ever known. She is focused and driven. Single minded about her one passion in life. Music. The only thing Lily has ever wanted in life is to play and to play well. When Lily’s journey crosses Alfie’s life path, what ensues for the both of them is a complex ride of emotions and feelings. Neither of them, despite all of their combined attributes are equipped to deal with. Alfie is emotionally locked down, both from past experiences and his current situation. Lily is sexually naive and inexperienced. When their world’s collide there are far reaching consequences for the both of them, which neither expected. How can Alfie and Lily be together? Alfie shares his thoughts, feelings and emotional conflict in his story. (Lily's Story The Everything Trilogy)

To be frank, I love a blunt, chauvinistic, A-Hole.
LOL.... what?
It's true (!!), and Alfie totally fits the bill.
I enjoyed his Alfa-ness.

Love With Every Beat, is a fun story that will have you biting your lip occasionally, because you want him to do... well...the "right" thing.  Make the "right" decision.

I did feel that the story was a little repetitive.
For instance, in the beginning, it felt like the first 5% of the book was just about Lily's looks.

I don't know.  It just rubbed me... not wrong, because she IS beautiful...
But like I said, it just was respective.

If you enjoy the steam, a little irritation and your Alpha's, it's worth a read!
3.5 Stars for me

Cowgirl Crazy by Becky McGraw Tour and Giveaway!!!

 Cowboys are a different breed...
They work hard, play hard and love harder.
It's all about the ride, until the right woman
makes them fall.

Sexy cowgirl Twyla Taylor is the right woman for rodeo Romeo, bronc rider, and her and brother's best friend, Ryan Easter. He just doesn't know it yet...

COWGIRL CRAZY (#2, Cowboy Way) by Amazon Bestselling Author Becky McGraw

NOOK - Smashwords - http://tinyurl.com/k2lhnpu

Twyla Taylor is one frustrated cowgirl. She's not winning at barrel racing or in love. She's spent ten years nursing a crush on her brother's best friend, Ryan Easter, who thinks of her as no more than his little sister. When Twyla catches Ryan with yet another no-good buckle bunny, and calls him out, he tells her to get a life, and that is exactly what she decides to do. One that does not include a buckle-bunny-chasing cowboy with a bad attitude, or an overbearing older brother.

Ryan Easter is one frustrated cowboy. He's winning every night at bronc riding, and has a different woman in every city. Mostly so he can keep his best friend's fiery little sister, and his desire for her, at bay. Since she grew those proud little breasts of hers, and mile-long legs, Ryan has had to fight his attraction to her. If her brother knew what he was thinking, he would kill Ryan, if her daddy didn't first. Ryan valued the surrogate family the Taylor's provided him with too much to ever go there with their youngest member.

His diversion techniques work like a charm, until one night he pushes her too far, and Twyla takes off. Ryan knows he has to find her quickly and apologize, or face his best friend's wrath. He finds Twyla in Dallas and decides she's definitely gone cowgirl crazy. He barely recognizes her, because his barrel-racing tomboy is wearing makeup that looks like it was put on with a putty knife and she's working at a bar which borders on a cowgirl strip club. When she isn't serving shots off of her stomach, she's shaking her round ass for any man with a dollar to shove into the waistband of her barely-there shorts.

Twyla refuses to leave with him, and Ryan knows he better make his final arrangements, or come up with another way to convince her and fast.

Ignoring her comment, and what had to be her obvious discomfort, Ryan stepped forward, leaned over her to balance his shot glass about two inches under her navel.  Heather always put it at the base of her ribcage, so a little would spill into her navel, but Ryan had put his lower.  Her muscles contracted there, as the cold glass touched her skin.  She thought about him licking her up to the glass, the amber liquid sloshed in the glass, and he frowned.

“No spilling, Twy, or there will be consequences.”  His eyes met hers and his pupils were dilated almost as large as the blue irises.  His breathing came in short spurts, and she could see his pulse pounding at the side of his throat.  The look on his handsome face said, he would relish delivering those unknown consequences.  “By the time I’m done, I’ll really need that drink.”

A shiver worked itself up her body from her toes, and the glass wobbled again.  She gasped and contracted her muscles to steady it.  Agitation bristled through her.  “Why don’t you just have the damned shot then, and get on with this?”  That’s what she really wanted.

His hand clamped on her ankle, and he grinned.  “Patience is a virtue, darlin’.  Slow is not always a bad thing, and I’m about to teach you that, and a lot more.”  His voice was heavy with anticipation, and his sensual threat was punctuated by his tongue making a trip slow around his hot lips.  Her eyes followed it around and heat sizzled along her nerves to singe her at the apex of her thighs.  Maybe this is why all those bunnies she saw leaving his trailer were smiling.  They must have had the patience Ryan was talking about, and liked that Ryan was slow as a turtle in his lovemaking.  Twyla wasn’t sold on it yet, but decided to try to find the patience he asked her to have.  She huffed a breath then relaxed and uncurled her fists.

What the hell did she know about all this, anyway?  She was green as grass at this, he knew what he was doing.  Had done it many times.  Too many.

“Get on with it, then,” she grumbled, settling her focus on keeping that shot glass steady on her lower abdomen.  Ryan’s dark head appeared in her line of vision, and Twyla gasped.

His eyes met hers over the plane of her tummy, and were filled with mischief and purpose. His hot breath tickled her thighs when he warned, “Keep it still, Twyla.  Remember, no spilling.”

He slid his hands behind her calves, and under her thighs to hold her hands at her sides.  Turning his face, he planted a wet kiss on her inner thigh, before his mouth latched there and he sucked, while his tongue swirled on her skin.  Fire zipped up to her core, and Twyla whimpered.  The glass wobbled again and she knew then that she was in big trouble.
