I really enjoyed Gabriel's Inferno, but Gabriel's Rapture took it to a whole other level!
I was invested!
A real page turner for me.
Especially when certain someones get involved.
At several points I could literally feel my heart leap at the panic...
So, let's just say - Lots of intensity in this one!
We're all happy and snuggly warm, then
We move into the thinking and wondering stage, and
Then comes the dump truck!
*Splat*
Loved this book!
In fact, I may just love it even more now that I've had a some time to let it all soak in.
Do you know what I mean?
Sooooo much happens, it's like you go 0-60 in no time and it's a wonderful, blissful, hold onto the edge of your seat kind of ride.
So what's Gabriel's Rapture about?
"National bestselling author Sylvain Reynard continues the story of Gabriel and Julia, two lovers bound together by their darkest desires.
But those very desires may destroy them . . .
Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex.
But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante’s fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever?
In Gabriel’s Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel’s Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader’s mind, body, and soul, forever."
Yes; That was me.
I copied and paste the synopsis, BUT for good reason!
I'm totally amped up on Gabriel and Julia right now, and I KNOW without a doubt I would end up giving far too much information away because I am so excited.
I definitely don't want to spoil this journey for anyone.
So I will conclude by saying -
If you loved Gabriel's Inferno, you're going to flip for Gabriel's Rapture!
For sure.
4.5 Stars for me!
