BIG News! Next novel from Sylvain Reynard

Clearly, I'm a Gabriel Fan, but it looks like SR will be gracing us with a new novel titled "The Raven"!

I'm really enjoyed the sound of it...

Underworld. Check.
Creatures of the Night. Check.
But wait...
This clip might make you read, then double read this:
"What I didn't mention was that one of the characters of The Raven appears in Gabriel's Redemption. Can you identify him or her? I welcome your guesses in the comments below and on social media."

Oh.Boy! Or Girl...!!

*Claps*
I adore these games *>:D< big hug

Here's all the info from Sylvain's site. Check it out!

"Dear Everyone,

Back in September, I wrote a post in which I mentioned my next novel. I'm pleased to be able to give you more information now.

My next novel is the first in a new series, and it will be entitled The Raven. With this novel, I'm asking you to pack your bags and travel with me to the city of Florence. The Gabriel Series showed you the city during the day. This time, I'll show you Florence's underworld, which is ruled by creatures of the night …

Here's the formal announcement:

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Gabriel Series comes a dark, sensual tale of romance in a city shrouded in mystery…

Raven Wood spends her days at Florence’s Uffizi Gallery restoring fine works of Renaissance art. But an innocent walk home after an evening with friends changes her life forever. When she intervenes in the senseless beating of a homeless man, his attackers turn on her, dragging her into an alley. Raven is only semi-conscious when their assault is interrupted by a cacophony of growls followed by her attacker’s screams. Mercifully, she blacks out, but not before catching a glimpse of a shadowy figure who whispers to her …

Cassita vulneratus.

When Raven awakes, she is inexplicably changed. She returns to the Uffizi, but no one recognizes her and more disturbingly, she discovers that she’s been absent an entire week. With no recollection of the events leading up to her disappearance, Raven also learns that her absence coincides with one of the largest robberies in Uffizi history – the theft of a set of priceless Botticelli illustrations. When the baffled police force identifies her as its prime suspect, Raven is desperate to clear her name. She seeks out one of Florence’s wealthiest and elusive men in an attempt to uncover the truth about her disappearance. Their encounter leads Raven to a dark underworld whose inhabitants kill to keep their secrets …

As I mentioned in my September post, readers of Gabriel's Redemption will be able to read an excerpt from The Raven at the end of both the paperback and e-book editions.

But what I didn't mention was that one of the characters of The Raven appears in Gabriel's Redemption. Can you identify him or her? I welcome your guesses in the comments below and on social media.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that there's a connection between The Gabriel Series and my new series - a connection that is more than simply me, or the city of Florence, or the Uffizi Gallery. If you've read the cover copy above carefully, probably you're beginning to guess the answer. But I'll be explicit and state that we won't be saying goodbye to the Professor and Julianne at the end of Gabriel's Redemption. Look for them to have cameo appearances in The Raven as well ...

While I don't have a release date for The Raven yet, I hope to have one soon. This novel marks my transition from a contemporary love story to a paranormal one. I hope you'll join me on this journey and that if you have friends and family who enjoy paranormal novels, you'll help me share the news with them.

As we approach the December 3rd release date of Gabriel's Redemption in North America, my American publisher has listed a giveaway of the novel on Goodreads. US entrants can enter the contest here.

And if you'd like to read a new excerpt from Gabriel's Redemption and enter another contest, you can do so here at Romance Times.

Finally, I want to wish everyone who is celebrating Thanksgiving this week a very happy holiday. I have much to be thankful for and in particular, I'm thankful for you, my readers.

All the best and thank you for your continued support,
SR"

Gabriels Rapture by Sylvain Reynard

I really enjoyed Gabriel's Inferno, but Gabriel's Rapture took it to a whole other level!

I was invested!
A real page turner for me.
Especially when certain someones get involved.
At several points I could literally feel my heart leap at the panic...

So, let's just say - Lots of intensity in this one!

We're all happy and snuggly warm, then
We move into the thinking and wondering stage, and
Then comes the dump truck!
*Splat*

Loved this book!
In fact, I may just love it even more now that I've had a some time to let it all soak in.
Do you know what I mean?
Sooooo much happens, it's like you go 0-60 in no time and it's a wonderful, blissful, hold onto the edge of your seat kind of ride.

So what's Gabriel's Rapture about?

"National bestselling author Sylvain Reynard continues the story of Gabriel and Julia, two lovers bound together by their darkest desires.

But those very desires may destroy them . . .

Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student Julia Mitchell. Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex.

But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover. When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante’s fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever?

In Gabriel’s Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel’s Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader’s mind, body, and soul, forever."

Yes; That was me.
I copied and paste the synopsis, BUT for good reason!
I'm totally amped up on Gabriel and Julia right now, and I KNOW without a doubt I would end up giving far too much information away because I am so excited.

definitely don't want to spoil this journey for anyone.
So I will conclude by saying -
If you loved Gabriel's Inferno, you're going to flip for Gabriel's Rapture!
For sure.
4.5 Stars for me!

RUSH FINLAY FANS! "Rush Too Far" by Abbi Glines News

RUSH FINLAY FANS!

This is sooooo exciting.

I am a HUGE fan of Rush!

Did I mention, "Rush Too Far " is available for pre-order?

Just sayin'.

Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard

I love how the past and present can sometimes collide!

In Gabriel's Inferno it does so in a BIG way.

You see;
Julia Mitchell is a practicing MA student, and
Gabriel Emerson is her professor.

Professor Emerson is a jerk, and
He has absolutely zero issues letting Julia know just how big of a imbecile he really is (or can be!).

Thing is...
He's mostly annoyed with her because -
A). She's his student
B.) He is attracted to her (and knows he shouldn't be), and
C.) She's all too familiar and he has no idea why - Eep!

OK!
Now that I have your attention, gather in.
*scoots chair forward*

Julia knows exactly who Professor Emerson is.
They have "history" together.
Oooh...yes...

Thing is, Gabriel is completely oblivious to it! *Shakes Head*

So, this is where they had me in the whole ants in my pants stage...

Julia knows Gabriel and his family.
She's best friends with his sister for cryin' out loud, yet he still remains clueless - Gaa!

As their platonic "relationship" continues, and Gabriel comes to realize, she knows his family, and it's beyond his control that they'll be seeing more of one another outside of school activities...
Truth be told, he's not hatin' it...

As you can imagine, things between Julia and Gabriel progress.
Especially when a big, HUGE, secret is revealed!!!
*Sorry...no whips and chains here folks*

But moving on...

Throughout all the scenario's in this book;
I was anxious, because of Gabriel's temper and assholery, yet
I felt warm because of their shared attraction, but
Not heated because nothing like that was really going on.
It was all the wanting and not having temptation.

Still...
I continued to have that teenage like/love/what is going on with you, you arrogant jerk, relationship with Gabriel.
It's like you hate to love him, love to hate him kinda thing.

He has a troubling past <--We all knew that was coming!

So, throughout most of the story, he's overly guarded, but
Under the layers, there's compassion, and
Understanding, and
Imaginable steam once you get inside the guys head.

Aside from all that -
I found myself having a pretty good educational lesson too.
I'm not a history buff by any means, but enjoyed learning about Dante and Beatrice (as well as others).
What I enjoyed even more is some of the scenarios that were playing out in their real lives but they were comparing to those of the past - So that was fun.

Another thing I got a kick out of was all the nicknames.
The ones for each other and ones they had given other people - hehe.

The only thing that was missing for me, is that I liked the story leading up, but the ending...
Well, it just kind of cut us off. *Hrmp*
It wasn't in a brash way, and I liked the ended.
It just didn't give me everything I wanted.
Like more of them.

Now cliffhanger haters - Don't go throwing the towel in just yet.
The ended provided the information we needed, but everything we had worked up to just kind of up and ended.

For me, I want to know how their stories continue, and I'm excited for "Gabriel's Rapture ".

4 Stars

To summarize, I would say "Gabriel's Inferno" is the getting to know you stage.
Looking forward to seeing what "Gabriel's Rapture" has in store for us.
I have a feeling there are going to be some surprises! xo

The Cityscape Series by Jessica Hawkins - Reading Order

I'm getting ready to start this series after I finish my next book!

Sooo excited about it too!!

Here's the Reading Order:

Come Undone (The Cityscape Series, Book 1)

Come Alive (The Cityscape Series, Book 2)

Come Together (The Cityscape Series, Book 3)

Broken Series by Kimberly Lauren - Reading Order

I loved Beautiful Broken Rules so much, so we needed a reading order!

I can't wait to get re-acquainted with Jace!!

Beautiful Broken Rules, (Broken, Series #1)

Beautiful Broken Mess, (Broken, Series #2)

Beautiful Broken Rules by Kimberly Lauren

I was in the mood for a "man-eater"...
and knew "Beautiful Broken Rules" was the perfect fit!

Jax and Emerson's story was believable and I enjoyed it the whole way through.

When the time came, I wasn't ready for it to end.
I mean, I knew I was going to have attachment issues waaaay before I finished the last sentence, because...It's one of those books....
The kind that grip you from the inside and stay with you.
It's not necessarily "deep" per-say, but it holds onto you and gets you thinkin', instead of sleepin'.
*Wink*

So what's Beautiful Broken Rules about?

Emerson is a man-eater.
She loves men, but only wants them for one thing.
Sex.
She's not ashamed of it.
With her past -
It's just her nature.
She's upfront about what her "rules" are and there is never any long term commitment.
Ever.

Jax is a football star.
A ladies man.
No woman has ever told him "No", and
Once you get to know him, we can all see why!!

Their initial introduction will throw you for a loop.
(It's definitely a compromising position, not one I expected, and not one I'd ever want to be in myself!)

After their pleasantries,
You can tell,
One things for sure...
Somethin's cookin' in the kitchen, and you're going to want to make a meal out of it!

These two are just what the other one needs, in more ways than one, and it's a journey you're going to want to stick around for!

Loved everything about this story - 5 stars for me!

Want to know what's even better?

Beautiful Broken Mess (Jace's Story!! *Swoon*) is now available!
I got this, ladies.
I got this.

Mid Life Love: At Last by Whitney G - Blog Tour, Review, & Giveaway

Title: Mid Life Love: At Last (Mid Life Love, #2)
Author: Whitney G.

If you ask me if Jonathan Statham makes me happy, I’ll say ‘Absolutely. He’s the man of my dreams and I can’t wait to marry him.’
If you ask me why my ex-husband Ryan is currently one inch away from me—staring into my eyes and pressing his hand against my cheek, I’ll say, ‘I have no fucking idea…’

Claire Gracen finally has the life she’s always wanted: A career she loves, a man who’s willing to do any and everything for her, and friends that show her the true meaning of the word ‘friendship.’
As she and Jonathan prepare to make the ultimate commitment to one another and plan the wedding of her dreams, she quickly realizes that the hurtful past she left behind in Pittsburgh is a lot closer than she thought.

Sexy, unpredictable, and as charmingly clever as ‘Mid Life Love,’ ‘At Last’ will captivate you from the first page and never let you go.

My Review

Mid Life Love: At Last, was so good!
"Good" as in Jonathan and Claire drive me cray-cray, make me wanna pull my hair out, and take a cold shower kinda "Good". *smirks*
They're insane for one another and their love/lust is off the charts!
What Jonathan and Claire don't realize is that they're about to have the ultimate commitment test, and experience a rather rude awakening when Claire's ex shows back up in town!
Ryan.
AKA - the Evil, Backstabbing, Best Friend Stealing, Baby Maker, Makes Me Wanna Cut Him - Guy!
Yea; Him!
*8-| rolling eyes *L-) loser
I mean, what in the flippin' flap jacks is HE doing on HER turf, anyway?!

Well...
The answer may surprise you, and *might* even tug at your heart strings a little, but the full reason we're thinking he's back isn't exactly what/why we're thinking!

But back to the good stuff...
Jonathan!

I love him.
Him and all his control issues...Tee-hee

Once again; He had me all over the board.
Kinda like how I felt towards the end of Mid Life Love - Eep!
He had my heart crushing and gushing at the same time, and
I soooooo loved every minute of it!

Speaking of his control issues and sexiness...
THE club...
O.M.G.
I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet, but let me just say...
That whole chapter was like a living sauna for me!
Whew...
*Fans Self*
Was NOT expecting that!
*Grins* *Blush* *Grins*
-Adjusts self-
*Ahem*
Back on Topic..

What I truly love most about Jonathan his love for Claire.
She is what matters most, and
He'll be damned if anything comes between him and his girl.
I really admire that in a man!

One last thing before we go...
I really wanted to voice how much I enjoyed Claire's character development in this book.
She's still fresh, sexy, and wants her man...
However, witnessing her additional confidence, strength, and fangs, was appealing!
*Chomp*
The only thing I would have liked to see differently is a softness to Jonathan from time to time.
Especially when we're in that moment where all hell breaks lose...but that's just who Jonathan is.
And we heart him!!

I really enjoyed reuniting with Jonathan and Claire, and I'm guessing this isn't the last we've seen or heard from either of them!!

4.25 Stars for meeee...

Heart of Stone Series by K.M. Scott - Reading Order

I like the sound of this!

Blurb -

"What would you give up for everything?

Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed.

He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

The world he gave me fulfilled my wildest dreams, but would that be enough when the past crashed into the present?"
